When DNA testing samples arrive at IDENTIGENE they are accessioned into our computerized laboratory management system on a case by case basis. By the time we receive the samples for your case, the identification parameters for each sample have already been entered into the website database by you. This information is checked against the information on the specimens we receive and a case number is assigned. If there are any discrepancies they are resolved immediately. We only process one case at a time to eliminate any possibility of specimen transfer between cases.
Once all DNA samples and payments have been received for your case, the specimens and computerized case file are transferred from the accessioning technician to laboratory DNA technologists, who then begin the process of DNA isolation.
